Mankato also beat Southern Cloud in 2 sets 25-15 affd 25-10. In the win over Southern Cloud, Lisa Schwerman went 10 for 10 serv- ing and had 1 ace serve. Ashley Lienberger was 9 for 13 spiking and had 5 kills. Jaime Sanborn went 45 for 49 set- ting and had 7 set assists. Jewell volleyball coach Jennifer Adolph named Amy Waterman offen- sive player. Waterman was 10 for 12 spiking and had 3 kills. In the loss to Mankato, Schwerman was 6 for 6 serving. Waterman went 8 for 10 spiking and had 4 kills. Sanborn was 40 for46 setting had 2 sets assists. Jewell-White Rock brings a record ~hef 5-1 into the game and a 4-0 rec, ord in Pike Trail l~eague. Pike Valley has a record of 4-2. JeweU-White Rock's only defeat came cMa Oct. 3 with a 40-38 loss to Kensington. Pike Valley's losses came on Sept. 19 when they fell to Beloit St. John's and on Oct. 3 with another loss to Sylvan Grove. The Predators are quarterbacked by Kyle Ord, a White R0ck senior. Rich- aid Shamburg, a 175 pound Jewell ~unikfiOr is the Predator work horse in the eid: Shamburg commonly car- des 20 times per game. Caleb Ramsey, a Jewel l senior, has fewer carries but at 210 pounds. Ramsey is a big, bruising runner. Pike Valley'football coach Don Melby has great respect for Jewell- White Rock. Melby said, "Jewell-White Rock has the best record in the league at 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the league. They have good size and speed and the Preda- tors lone loss was by 2-points to a fine Kensington team. They will be a great challenge for us and we will have to play our best game of the year. The winner will have early control of the district championship. Homecoming activities are af6:30 p.m. Game time is 7 p.m. 'Here without you' is homecoming theme "Here without You" is the theme for Jewll High School Football Home- coming Friday night. Candidates for royalty are Julie Hoel, daughter of Monies and Jon Hoei; Craig Farwll; son of John and Rock Sydney Daws, daugl~rer of Brian and Kim Joerg; Michael Peters, son of Mykel and Tracy Peters; and Maddux Winter, son of Fred and Charice Win- ter.
