Shall Unificd School District No. 278. Jewel l ('~ ~u ut y, I~ a~l:,a~ (Mankato), issue g,:neJal ,)bligatiou bonds in an amount f:,, to exceed $400,000, to pay a portion of the estimated $550,000 costs to: (i) replace roofs at the existing high school gymnasium, north gymna- sium addition, south gymnasium addi- tion and classroom section; (ii) replace roof at.the existing shop building; (iii) replace roofs at the existing adminis- trative building, including the main portion, the south low roof and the gymnasium, all located in Mankato; and (iv) make all other necessary im- provements appurtenant thereto; all pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 10-101 et seq4 K.S.A. 25-2018(f); and K.S.A. 72-6761. The balance of the costs shall be paid from available capi- tal outlay funds of the district. To vote in favor of any question submitted on this ballot, make a cross or a check mark in the square to the left of the word "Yes." To vote against it, make a cross or a check mark in the square to the left of the word "No." The polls will open at 7:00 o'clock a.m. and will close at 7:00 o'clock p.m., on November 4, 2003, the dec- lion day. The voting places in the dis- trict, and the area each voting place will serve, will be as follows: Voters residing in Formoso and Grant. Richland and Sinclair town- ships will vote at Formoso Senior Citi- zen Center. Voters residing in Mankato and Calvin, Center, Holm wood, Limestone and Ionia townships wilt vote at Base- rnent of the Courthouse. The election will be conducted by the officers and/or persons provided by law for holding election and the method of voting will be by ballot. Registered voters are eligible to vote 'by advance voting ballot upon applica- "tion to the County Clerk set forth be- low pursuant to K.S.A. 25-1117 et seq.
