Richard Cox' s message at the Chris-
tian Church Sunday was "Allowing
God' s Spirit to Lead Us.' His selected
scripture reading was Romans 8: 12-
17. The Holy Spirit leads people today
to glorify God and to expand His king-
dom. We have a debt to God because
we have been given so much and with
what we have been given comes re-
sponsibility. We don't live like we did
before we accepted Christ as our sav-
ior. We must recognize our weaknesses,
confess and repent. Jesus paid a debt
he did not owe and we owe a debt we
can never repay. We can delight in the
knowledge that we are joint heirs with
Jesus and children of God. Through
His Holy Spirit we can have power and
not fear as He leads us in our lives.
There will be bumps in our road even
when we follow Jesus. Every setback
can be a set up to a step up. We need to
remember what to delight in and to
focus on what our destiny is.
