Ray. Frank Morgan officiated at the double ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Plunkett of Minneapolis and the late dames Sehur. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. I.tRoy Meier of Mankato. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white satin gown with a fitted bodice covered In pearls and sequins. The gown featured a Victorian collar and sleeves and a cathedral length train with cut-away appliques. Maid of hnor was Shari Lyne of , Manhattan. Bridesmaids were Terri Penn and Windy Crispin of Minneapo- lis. Marlyn Brumbaugh of Minneapolis was the best man. Joe Kelln of Solomon and John Lott of Minneapolis were the groomsmen. Joe Sehur, brother of the bride, and C.J. Reed were the ushers. Kayla Brtggs, daughter of the bride and groom, was the flower girl. Andrew Crtspen was the ringbearer. Angela Wonderlee, sister of the groom, was in charge of the guest book. Serving at the reception were aunts of the bride, Alice McCall, Rita McCall, Sally Andrews and Mary Kay Hardesty. The bride, who attended Minneapo- lis High School, Cloud County Commu- nity College and Saltna Area Vo-Tech, works for Eldorado National in Salina. The groom, a graduate ofdewell Htgh School, served in the U.S. Navy for three years. He Is employed at Coronado Engineering. The couple Is at home in Minneapo- lis. The Christian Gleaners hosted a surprise farewell party for May Simons Monday evening, May 3. Devotions and a program were presented by Itha Sea- mans and Alberta Diamond. A large group was in attendance to enjoy seeing Mary open a tableful of gifts and remembrances from the friends she had made in Mankato. She has been a dedicated member of Gleaners and served as secretary for several years. She was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and served the church in many other capacities as well. MarJorie Moser served refreshments. Friday P. M. Club Friday P.M. Club met with Beulah Brlnkworth April 30. Canasta was played with Elizabeth Reece winning high score. The next meeting will be wlth Maxlne Switzer on May 24. Keith-Beagle Don and Nancy Keith, Mankato, announce the engagement and ap- proaching marriage of their daughter, Natalie Jean, to Kevin Dee Beagle, son of Dean andMary Kirkham, Valley Fails, and the late Jerry L. Beagle. Natalie is the granddaughter of Wayne and Geor- giann Ukena, Valley Falls. Kevin Is the grandson of Theresa Beagle. Atchison, Elsie Bigenwalt, Wichita, Betty Kirk- ham, Valley Falls, and Jack and Annie Kirkham, Cummings. The bride-to-be is a 1992 graduate of Atchison County Community High School, Effingham. She attends Mis- souri Western State College, St. Jo- seph, MO, where she is working to- wards a degree in legal studies and a criminal justice degree. She is employed by the Atchison County Sherifl's Office as a dispatcher. The prospective groom is a 1989 graduate of Atchison County Commu- nity High School, Effingham. He is employed by Northwest Pipe & Casing, Shannon Industrial Park, as a Quality Control Technician. The couple will exchange vows July 31, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Atchison. A reception will fol- low in the church basement and a dance at 8 p.m. at the American Legion in Atchison. Friends and relatives are invlted. 90th birthday : Esther McElroy A 90th birthday celebration in honor of Esther McElroy, Belleville, is sched- uled for May 16th for family members and friends hosted by her son, Bernard and wife, Berniece. The celebrant has twin grandsons, Arvel of Lawrence and Norval of Hiawatha and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. McElroy was born at Randall, KS on May 17, 1903.
