Cougar girls, boys
post wins over SC
The Mankato Lady Cougars de-
feated Waconda East 57-33 and the
Mankato boys beat Vikings 69-53 Fri-
day night at Mankato.
In the girls' game, Beth Gillett paced
Mankato in scoring with 20 points.
Tiffany Jensen followed with 14 points.
Gayle Wilson, JennaLee Harris and
Nicole Jeffery each contributed 6
points. Vanessa Ernst added 3 points
and Jen Waugh was good lor 2.
Kalee Bauss led the Lady Vikings
with 18 points. Danielle Cote added 9
points• Maggie Schmidt and Kayla
Darnell each contributed 3 points.
In the boys' game, Mankato had
four players in double figures. Aaron
Zadina led the way with 19 points.
Ross Jeffery followed with 16. Trevor
Elkins contributed 15 points and Jason
Stewart was good for 12. Cormey
Alexander added 5 points and Chase
Warne had 2.
Nathan Brummet paced the Vikings
with 10 points• Bryce Lange, Torey
Hamel and Shawn McKain each con-
tributed 9 points. Kevan Welsh and
Ryan Cyr added 7 points each. Trever
Milholland scored 2 points.
